Tracy Crane, OD, began her career at Flagstaff Eye Care in September 2009 after working for the Indian Health Care on the Navajo Nation in Tsaile, Arizona, for 6 years and at Phoenix Indian Medical Center for 6 months until she started a family. She grew up all over the country and overseas as a military brat.
Most recently she made her 22nd move back to Flagstaff, Arizona, after spending 3 years in Muncie, Indiana, while her husband finished his family practice residency. Now that she has been back at Flagstaff Eye Care since April 2016, Tracy is continuing to provide compassionate and up-to-date eye care for her patients. Dr. Crane received her doctorate in Optometry from Indiana University-Bloomington in 2001 after receiving her bachelor’s degree in biology from Sterling College in Kansas.
She also completed a residency in Ocular Disease at the Albuquerque Veterans Affairs Hospital through Houston School of Optometry in 2002. She is an active member of the Arizona Optometric Association. Tracy Crane and her husband Jesse, who is a physician at North Country Healthcare, have three sweet and active young girls, Esther, Juniper and Karis. As a family they pursue any adventure that includes running, mountain biking, camping, hiking, soccer, skiing or traveling.
They also continue the tradition of adopting dogs from the reservation and currently have a black terrier mix named Heidi. Dr. Crane loves to make all patients feel at ease in our laid back office.
